Join the small team at RISE Learning Zone CIC as a part time administrator with responsibility for developing a professional, friendly and comprehensive administrative service supporting the work of the organisation. RISE works with teenagers managing a range of traumatic histories and chaotic home lives who are unable to cope with mainstream education.
We are looking for an administrator with proven experience of the development, management and operation of administrative systems, excellent organisational skills along with the ability to relate to adults and children and promote the school in the wider community.
The job is extremely varied involving a wide range of tasks including but is not limited to; record keeping, meeting and greeting visitors, organising trips and days out, first aid, minute taking, tracking and monitoring tasks, report administration, purchasing, and data management, for which you must have good Excel skills and data base/ school information management systems experience.Monday-Friday 09:30-13:30, term time only.Responsibilities
To ensure the efficient operation of office systems, maintaining young person files and making exam entries/claims at various points throughout the year.To maintain various databases and spreadsheets.
To be the gatekeeper of information, i.e. be able to access reports, regulatory records etc. on request.
To assist in the timely preparation of various reports for stakeholders of the business.
Additional duties and requirements associated with the post undertaken as and when they arise.
Work Experience & Skills
We are looking for someone with previous experience of working in an administrative role in a school. The successful person must have excellent standards of literacy and numeracy. You must also be calm under pressure and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a positive outlook.The job is extremely varied involving a wide range of tasks for which you must have good IT skills for office application and data base/ school information management systems.
ESSENTIAL: Experience of administrative roles in an education setting
Good experience in using Excel spreadsheets & Word documentsConfident in the use of IT database and other applications
Ability to empathise and support the development of disadvantaged learners
Good understanding of safeguarding procedures
Ability to work as part of a small team.
