SEN Support Worker - Educational setting

Location: SEN Primary & Secondary schools across Ormskirk & Skelmersdale.
Contract: Full-time, temp to perm possibility.

Start Date: ASAP.

Teaching Personnel are working closesly with a primary and secondary SEN Schools in Skelmersdale who are looking for Support Assistants to join them on a full-time, part-time and flexible basis'. The schools are nurturing and inclusive, dedicated to providing outstanding education and support for children with diverse learning needs.

The Role:

Compassionate and proactive SEN Support Assistants to join Teaching Personnel's fantastic pool of educators. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide tailored support for children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs.

Key Responsibilites:

✔️ Supporting pupils with their learning, development, and emotional well-being
✔️ Assisting teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment
✔️ Providing one-to-one and small group support
✔️ Encouraging independence and confidence in pupils

✔️ Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals

What are we looking for?:

✅ Experience working with children with SEN (desired but not essential)
✅ A patient, caring, and positive attitude
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
