Your new role
As Production Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the company’s strategic targets of Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost. You will manage capacity planning, product throughput, and resource management within the manufacturing shop floor.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include controlling risk, fostering a positive health & safety culture, managing manufacturing schedules to meet client delivery deadlines, overseeing processes, and ensuring effective communication and leadership within the production workforce.
You will also be expected to implement modern manufacturing processes within a quality management system.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need at least 3 years of experience of managing health & safety within a manufacturing environment, overseeing manufacturing schedules, and managing processes. Strong leadership, effective communication skills, and proficiency in using IT systems and understanding manufacturing drawings are essential.Desirable qualifications include 5 years of relevant experience, recognized qualifications in health & safety, production, project, or quality management, as well as experience with Kaizen, Six Sigma, and 5S continuous improvement models, and MRP/ERP systems.
