We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our friendly and supportive team in Leyland. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and help create a positive, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the class teacher in planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons.
- Assist students with their learning both individually and in small groups.
- Help students with their personal, social, and emotional development.
- Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Prepare resources and assist with classroom organisation.
- Monitor and track students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, helping them achieve their full potential.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience of working with children, ideally in a primary or secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting students.
- Ability to assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining an engaging learning environment.
Desirable:
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Knowledge of additional support strategies, such as behaviour management techniques or phonics.
