Human Resources Manager | North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust
We are looking to recruit a forward-thinking HR professional who thrives working in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment and who can adapt quickly to changing priorities. This role leads a HR advisory team who work together to support our colleagues within the Paramedic Emergency Service and Patient Transport Service across the Cheshire and Merseyside areas, and trust wide Corporate Services staff.
The successful candidate should have noticeable experience already gained at senior HR advisor/manager level, and can demonstrate experience in managing the day-to-day operations of a HR function that provides advice and support on a range of employment matters, which include; discipline, grievance, sickness management, organisational change, performance management, recruitment, NHS terms and conditions and employee experience.
This role will involve working in collaboration with internal and external partners so strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. Alongside this you will possess a strong working knowledge of UK employment law and have a solution focused, positive, and pragmatic approach that supports our team to deliver their best.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and complement our experienced and talented team, and will be willing to travel to any of the trust’s sites within the north west area which covers the regions of Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
