Your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver engaging and effective science lessons tailored to the varied needs of students
• Work with, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff and educational professionals
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and student confidence.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the educational experience
• Ensure a safe and organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Science
• Experience in teaching science, particularly within a SEND setting
• Strong understanding of SEND practices and strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to fostering a culture of respect and high expectations for all students
