SEN Teacher for SEN Unit - ref. a69974823
This is a unique opportunity for a newly qualified, or more experienced teacher to work with a flourishing multi-Academy Trust, renowned for its leadership development opportunities. The successful candidate will lead a class in our SEN Unit supporting children with significant special educational needs, mostly with a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), and lead a team of LSAs.
Salary Grade:
Full time/Part time, Permanent
£33075- £45037 per annum inclusive of London Weighting (Fringe) – MPR or
£47031- £50471 per annum inclusive of London Weighting (Fringe) – UPR
Main or Upper Pay Range, depending on experience and skills. The phase/year group’s additional responsibilities will depend on the interests and experience of the successful candidate.
Teaching and Learning Responsibility or SEN allowance will be considered for the right candidate
Requirements:
- Full time availability
- A creative and flexible practitioner A candidate that has high expectations of themselves and others, and is committed to maintaining our high standards
- The ability to respond imaginatively to the challenges of curriculum delivery and development, within a dynamic SEN provision focused on meeting the individual needs of students
- The ability to lead and direct a team of staff to ensure the needs of students are met effectively
- Experience using or the willingness to learn to use the TEACCH approach, PECs and AAC, including Makaton
