The Sirona Temporary Staffing Team provide flexible clinical and non-clinical support to our Teams across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). Our NHS and Local Authority funded services span all age groups. Our aim is to support people in their own homes and local communities through our skilled and experienced clinical teams.

As a Bank Community Support Worker, you'll play a vital role within our community services. You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team made up of clinicians such as Physiotherapists and Nurses to provide ongoing clinical activities such as, nursing tasks, rehabilitation & recovery, and support with daily routines and personal care.

As a member of the Temporary Staffing Team, we recognise your need for flexibility to balance home and work commitments. In supporting such flexibility, we hope to tailor opportunities to fit around you.

Main duties of the job

Your main responsibility will be to work as part of a multi professional team to support the registered nursing and allied healthcare professionals in delivering clinical and therapeutic care to service users.

This will include contributing to the holistic assessment of service users by assisting clinical staff in the assessment and treatment of patients referred to our services.

Additionally, it will be your duty to provide and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all patients and carers and seek further advice from trained staff if an emergency should arise

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Care Certificate

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Able to work without direct supervision, as agreed within the team, to achieve the objectives of the post
  • Experience of direct patient care in a health or social care setting
  • Ability to practice in a non-discriminatory way when approaching all colleagues and service users
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of service users with a range of communication needs and/ or cultural backgrounds
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of Community Nursing and able to demonstrate Community Nursing skills
  • Experience of Community Rehabilitation
