SEMH Teaching Assistant - Burgess Hill, close to Haywards Heath

Position: Grade 6 Teaching Assistant
Hours: 32.5 per week

Schedule: Term Time Only

Teaching Assistants are essential to the classroom dynamics, offering vital support to teachers and fostering a nurturing environment for all their students. We are on the lookout for someone who can uplift and inspire tis school's pupils.

About You:

Demonstrate excellence in practice with high expectations for all pupils
Show a passion for child-centred learning
Possess strong organisational and communication skills, and enjoy teamwork
Ideally, have experience working with young people
Contribute positively to our school's ethos
Commit firmly to inclusion and equal opportunities for all

Role Requirements:

GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent
A good educational background across various subjects
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English & Maths
Understanding of the national curriculum and relevant learning programs
Knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation
