Finance Assistant
Salary: £20p/hr | 3 Months Temporary Assinment
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the finance department of a £40 million income Group. You will play a key part in ensuring financial stability, supporting sound financial strategy and practice to achieve outstanding results for students.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Assistant, you will:
Handle day-to-day administrative tasks within the Group’s finance systemProcess and distribute purchase orders efficiently
Manage the finance and procurement mailboxes
Assist with sales ledger, purchase ledger, and procurement tasks as directed
Support the annual audit of the Group’s financial statements
Provide excellent customer service via telephone and face-to-face interactions
Work with spreadsheets, databases, and other finance-related systems
Undertake other ad-hoc finance-related duties as required
What We're Looking For
A keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
A proactive and adaptable approach to tasks
Experience in finance administration (desirable but not essential)
