Starting salary will be £14.00 per hour (UoG JMS Chef de Partie Chef pay range is £14.00 - £15.00 per hour based on performance related pay, and successful candidate’s salary could be reviewed on completion of 6-month probation period).
As a full-time role this post has a working pattern of 37.5 hours, flexibility will be required by mutual agreement and there will be some weekend and public holiday working at peak periods.
In this role you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and service of all food including hospitality food to a high standard across a range of cuisines and styles of cooking.
You will support the UoG Chef Manager and Head Chef in delivering a market-leading customer experience, achieving food cost targets, and executing the food and drink offer with excellence. Key responsibilities include adhering to set recipe specifications and costings, staying informed about current and forthcoming food trends and dietary requirements, and maintaining a passion for food quality and presentation.
UoG Commercial Ltd is a subsidiary company wholly owned by the University of Glasgow and provides catering services as part of the new extended campus at the University.
