Junior Buyer - Adecco
Our client, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Junior Buyer. If you are passionate about becoming a buyer and have a keen eye for identifying trends and opportunities, this is an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career in buying.
Please note that buying experience is not required! We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, has fantastic Customer service, Administration skills and can be a team player!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Buyer to develop and execute buying strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitors' activities.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive advantage.
- Administer purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels, making recommendations for replenishment and managing stock levels effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while actively seeking new suppliers.
- Assist in analysing sales data and market trends to identify product performance and provide insights for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and attend relevant trade shows and conferences.
- Support the buying team with ad hoc administrative tasks and general office duties.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to multitask.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A passion for the retail industry and a strong understanding of market trends.
Details:
- Monday-Friday 8.45am-5.30pm
- £25,000 per annum
- Location: Lambourn Woodlands
