Bradford Academy is committed to fostering an inclusive and high-achieving environment where every learner can thrive. We are seeking an innovative, resourceful and dedicated Assistant Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with a focus on Teaching & Learning or Personal Development.
Role Overview:
We have some flexibility around this appointment within our own team. This means we are looking for the best candidate to fill either a Teaching & Learning position working with the Vice Principal for Quality of Education and Staff Development, or a Personal Development role working with the Vice Principal for Curriculum & Personal Development.
This is an exciting time for Bradford Academy with a settled leadership group that have already influenced significant improvement during the last 18 months. As an Assistant Principal, you will play a key role in leading strategic initiatives to enhance the Teaching & Learning or Personal Development agendas at Bradford Academy.You will work closely with the Executive Principal, Principal, Vice Principals, and other Assistant Principals to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement policies and strategies to improve teaching and learning or personal development.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure comprehensive quality assurance processes and self-evaluation for continuous improvement.
- Daily Operations: Oversee the efficient and effective running of the Academy, maintaining consistency across staff.
- Staff Development: Promote a culture of professionalism and support staff development.
- Community Engagement: Foster effective partnerships with the wider community and contribute to raising standards locally and nationally.
Qualities and Qualifications:
- Qualifications: Qualified teacher status, degree, and professional development for a leadership role.
- Experience: Leadership and management experience in a school, at least 5 years of teaching experience, and involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning.
- Skills: Understanding of high-quality teaching, effective communication, and the ability to inspire others.
- Personal Qualities: Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils, promoting the school's ethos and values, and maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards.
