Aviation recruitment experts Optime are hiring Customer Care Agents to join a respected and welcoming team at Birmingham International Airport.

Please note: This is a mobility assistance role, not a check-in position.

This is a rewarding role supporting passengers with reduced mobility as they travel through the airport. If you're friendly, reliable and enjoy helping others, you'll find this a fulfilling and fast-paced position. Full training is provided and you’ll be part of a supportive on-site team from day one.

Start Dates:

  • 27th May 2025
  • 3rd June 2025

What’s on offer:

  • Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: 5 on, 3 off (this includes both weekdays and weekends) OR Night Shifts only : 18:00pm - 06:00am, 4 on 4 off
  • Weekly Pay
  • Temp to Perm opportunity based on performance
  • Full uniform and airport ID provided

Example Rota 1 : Day 1 – 04:30–14:30

Day 2 – 04:30–14:30
Day 3 – 09:30–18:00
Day 4 – 12:30–21:00
Day 5 – 12:30–21:00

3 x DAYS OFF

Example Rota 2 :

Day 1 - 18:00pm - 06:00am

Day 2 - 18:00pm - 06:00am

Day 3 - 18:00pm - 06:00am

Day 4 - 18:00pm - 06:00am

4 x DAYS OFF

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver friendly, professional service to passengers at all times
  • Escort passengers with reduced mobility through the airport on foot, by wheelchair, or electric buggy
  • Assist with luggage when required
  • Complete daily equipment checks and report any faults promptly
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean and ready for use
  • Communicate updates via handheld devices to Central Control
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and submit it on time
  • Carry out any reasonable duties as directed by supervisors

What you’ll need:

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable)
  • Previous airport experience is a bonus but not required
  • UK Settled Status (if applicable)
  • Current proof of address
