Are you a skilled HGV Class 2 driver ready to command the roads of Southend-on-Sea and beyond?
We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 driver who could be ensuring the seamless delivery of our premium goods. Enjoy the balance of local routes within Southend-on-Sea, with occasional regional journeys, all while returning home each evening. Expect a dynamic day with 10 to 15 deliveries, potentially more during peak periods.
Your journey will begin with a meticulously documented, 15-minute vehicle safety inspection, a testament to our commitment to safety. You will be accompanied by a dedicated assistant, though your expertise in assisting with deliveries is vital.Our fleet is equipped with state-of-the-art electric pump trucks and tail-lifts, simplifying your tasks.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Maintain meticulous records of all delivery activities.
- Conduct thorough vehicle safety inspections before each journey.
- Collaborate effectively with your delivery assistant.
- Provide exceptional customer service during every interaction.
- Expertly operate the electric pump truck and tail-lift.
- Navigate and adhere to all relevant traffic and parking regulations.
Your Essential Qualifications:
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 driving licence, with a maximum of 6 penalty points (clean license preferred).
- Current Digital Tachograph card.
- Up-to-date CPC certification (7 hours of training per year).
- For non-UK license holders: conversion of CPC/Tacho cards to UK equivalents before employment or renewal.
- Comprehensive understanding of EU/Domestic tachograph regulations, including working hours, rest periods, and driving time limits.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
Desired Attributes:
- 2 Years proven experience in HGV Class 2 18t delivery operations.
- Proficiency in tail-lift operation.
- Skilled in operating an electric pump truck.
- In-depth knowledge of Southend- on Sea parking regulations.
