Shift Team Leader - Cwmbran

RSW has an exciting Opportunity for a Shift Team Leader in the Cwmbran area.

The Shift Team Leader will be responsible for driving key processes that are created and followed by the Operations Team. This role will involve assisting the Operations team with the development of further process improvements and creating a robust link between strategies and actions and will ensure a smooth transition with clear communication, whilst also achieving a zero-incident safety culture, maximizing output and reducing overall costs.

Essential functions include:

• Enforce applicable safety, health and environmental guidelines and encourage colleagues to further eliminate potential hazards
• Ensure all production processes are followed to achieve desired results
• Drive for improvement through cost out and other project/process improvements
• Lead training plans for new starters and development plans
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leading process improvements and empowered work teams, recording daily high 5 figures and be responsible for 5S+ within individual areas across the shop floor
• Responsible for functional test, quality and security during day shift hours.

Qualifications:

• Ability to act quickly, make decisions and independently solve problems
• Process oriented and the ability to contribute to a lean manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to lead others.

Additional information:

• Willing to learn all Microsoft Office applications and SAP
• Desirable Skills: Familiar with SAP, First Aid and Fire Marshall trained. Kaizen experience

Day Shift

Monday- Thursday 06.00-15.00

Friday 06.00-11.00

£15.22 p/h with overtime rates week days x 1.5 Saturday x 1.5 Sunday x 2
