Software Development Engineer , EU Prime - Savings and Speed
EU Prime and Engagement team is seeking an experienced and proven Software Development Engineer (SDE) to lead medium to large cross-functional strategic initiatives that support EU Prime Speed and Savings strategic goals. This is a unique opportunity for someone inspired by Amazon’s high-growth Prime business to make impactful contributions to shape the future of Prime in EU region.
We are open to hire in any EU region - London, Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, Munich or Luxembourg. Feel free to reach out for any EU place even if location description says London.
Key job responsibilities
As an SDE, you are responsible for setting a high bar throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and application development, AWS technologies, business judgment, curiosity, and superior written and verbal communication skills. He/she will work closely with the business and technical teams to analyze many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative problem solving to deliver results.
He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and be creative while paying careful attention to detail and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
