An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated individual to join the Radiography team working as a Band 6 Advancing Practice Radiographer Plain Film/Radiology IT System Admin
This post is split between the Plain Film Fluoroscopy role and Radiology IT System Admin role.
The post holder will spend 50% of their time in each role.
Main duties of the job
Radiology IT System Admin
Deputising for Radiology Team Manager IT
Training Radiographers in Fluoroscopy
Screening
Shift Co-ordinator in the main department
Governance and Audit
QA

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Bsc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography
- State Registration with HCPC
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Knowledge
Essential criteria- A sound knowledge of radiographic clinical practice
- Knowledge of current radiographic and wider healthcare issues
- Knowledge in evaluation of relevant advanced knowledge of QA and audit programmes
- Knowledge of current data protection legislation
- Advanced skills with specific Radiology and Imaging applications
- An interest and understanding of Radiology IT System Admin/imaging informatics
- • Experience of Radiology IT system admin role
Skills
Essential criteria- Working to a high degree of accuracy
- High level of manual dexterity and co-ordination
- Ability to manage difficult situations
- Information Technology Skills
- Ability to motivate team to feel positive towards being trained to work in fluoroscopy
- Ability to motivate team to feel positive towards being trained to work with Radiology IT systems
Specialist Knowledge
Essential criteria- Experience of being a key trainer in an advancing practice role
- Knowledge of QA and audit programmes
- Knowledge of Radiology IT systems/ Imaging informatics
- Knowledge of current data protection legislation
- Skills with specific Radiology and Imaging applications
- Knowledge of NHS data standards
- Team leader, able to build and maintain an efficient and effective team
- Knowledge and understanding of service development
Teaching Skills
Essential criteria- Establish and maintain a professional interest in teaching and learning
- Experience of being a key trainer
