Design Technology Technician
Location: Birmingham
Start Date: Easter 2025
Salary: £90-150 a day depedning on experience

We are looking for a dedicated Art & Design Technician to join our vibrant and dynamic school community. The successful candidate will provide essential technical support to our Art & Design department, ensuring that resources, equipment, and the studio environment run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and organizing materials and equipment for lessons.
- Assisting with the maintenance and organization of the art studio.
- Supporting students with their practical projects, offering guidance on techniques and processes.
- Assisting with the setup and dismantling of displays for exhibitions.
- Managing the stock of art supplies and equipment, ensuring all resources are available when needed.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are followed within the department.
- Offering technical support to teaching staff during lessons and practical sessions.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A strong interest in Art & Design.
- Experience working with a variety of materials and tools used in Art and Design (e.g., paint, clay, textiles, printing, photography, etc.).
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in an art or design setting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach, with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in an educational setting would be advantageous but not essential.
