CNC Programmer
Location: Halesowen
Hours: MON THURS 8.00AM 5PM
FRI 8.00 4PM
Pay Rate: £34000 - £38000
We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Programmer for our client in Halesown. The client offers engineering excellence and has a long history of manufacturing and evolving capabilities. Provide responsibility for the Machining of the products detailed on Works Orders & Drawings, taking ownership from receipt of the W.O, through all machining operations to Final Inspection, maintaining the highest levels of utilization & efficiency whilst complying with all current standards and legislative requirements.

Whats the job?⦁ Setting up and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, or turning.
⦁ Ideally proficient using Fanuc & Heidenhain controls
⦁ Develop and write programs for CNC machines using CAD and Fusion software
⦁ Interpreting technical drawings to determine the necessary machining operations.
⦁ Monitoring machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
⦁ Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance⦁ Inspecting finished products for accuracy and conformance to requirements.
⦁ Performing routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
⦁ Responsible for machining own jigs and fixtures
⦁ To help train/develop other personnel
⦁ Ensure good housekeeping practices and regularly maintain machine fluids and coolant levels.
⦁ Document work orders, fill out necessary paperwork, and ensure accurate labelling and quantities of parts.
⦁ Adhere to strict health and safety protocols, wearing the required personal protective equipment at all times.
⦁ Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following ISO 14001 standards for environmental compliance.
⦁ Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
Who can do this?
⦁ Excellent mathematics required for accurate measurements and calculations⦁ Candidate with prior experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role.
⦁ Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
⦁ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
⦁ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
⦁ Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges⦁ Expert experience as a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, within the precision machining industry.
⦁ Solid understanding of CNC milling operations, including programming, setting up and operating machines.
⦁ Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and work with CAD files.
⦁ Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
⦁ Dependability and a strong sense of responsibility in meeting commitments.
⦁ Willingness to work overtime hours and weekends based on production requirements.
⦁ Familiarity with health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
⦁ The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification or suitable apprenticeship, but a long-proven track record could also suffice
