This is an extremely exciting time to be joining Leeds City Academy, one of the most rapidly improving schools within the Leeds area and county of West Yorkshire. We are an 11-16 academy and one of four schools within White Rose Academies Trust, a trust recognised nationally for its ground-breaking and transformational impact on the lives of the young people it serves.The academy had a Section 5 Inspection in May 2019 achieving an overall Good judgement with Leadership and Management judged as Outstanding.

Role:
Leeds City Academy is seeking to appoint an ambitious and committed Assistant Director of Science to support the strategic leadership and ongoing development of our Science department. This role represents an excellent opportunity for an outstanding teacher who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.
Working closely with the Director of Science, you will help drive improvements in curriculum design, teaching and learning, and outcomes across the department, while remaining a highly effective classroom practitioner. The successful candidate will play a key role in coaching colleagues, embedding consistent practice, and fostering a culture of high expectations and aspiration.

- Is an excellent teacher of Science with strong subject and pedagogical knowledge
- Has the credibility and confidence to support and influence colleagues’ practice
- Is committed to inclusive and equitable education, ensuring success for all learners
