Security Officer - Royal Portrush Golf, Northern Ireland
Pay: £13.50 per hour - SIA Door Supervisor Licence Required
Potential earnings - £3240 / £15.00 per hour(before deductions and including holiday pay, based on 18 days of 12 hour shifts)
Once again we will be delivering the security operation at The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush, 17–20 July 2025.

Join G4S as an Events Security Officer to play your part in making one of the world's most exciting golfing event an experience for everyone.
You'll be part of a delivery team responsible for conducting searches, monitoring crowds and responding to security incidents. You'll be working with thousands of people, so you'll need your experience as an SIA Door Supervisor licensed security professional to identify situations before they happen and respond accordingly to those that do.Equally important is your ability to deliver a great customer experience to help create a unique atmosphere.
This is a varied role that will provide great memories. You could be based in the events space, outside with the fans or helping to protect world famous athletes and staff. Friendly, professional and approachable, you'll use common sense to help people and ensure the events run smoothly. This may include:
Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working proceduresSearching visitors upon entry to venues
Ensuring that no prohibited or restricted items are taken into the secured zones within the venues
Monitoring visitor/crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessary
Dealing with visitor/crowd disruptionsSecuring licensed / hospitality areas.

Requirements:
SIA Door Supervisor license requiredAvailability to work days and nights from 8th July till 25th July
Previous experience in events is not essential as full training will be provided
Must be over 18 years old
Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-focused attitude.
Please note you must be over 18 years old and hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
You will just need to complete the following application form and one of our Recruiters will be in touch to discuss the next steps. Our recruitment and selection process will include an interview and screening to BS7858 standards.
Given the nature of the industry, we do need to ask some questions for security and compliance purposes, but don’t worry - you will only need to complete them once.
