We're a thriving podcast production company based in the vibrant Shoreditch area of London. Our state-of-the-art studio serves as a creative hub for podcasters to bring their ideas to life. We're seeking a versatile individual to join our team as a Studio Manager/Videographer who will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth studio operations and delivering high-quality video content for our podcast clients.

The Studio Manager/Videographer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of studio operations, from scheduling and equipment maintenance to ensuring a seamless recording environment for clients and creators, as well as running and taking recording sessions themselves.

If you're excited about the world of podcasts, possess exceptional attention to detail, and have the skills to support our rapidly growing company, we'd love to hear from you! We're a small company, and growing fast. We're looking for someone who can work autonomously, who would treat the studio as if it was their own!

We’ve just opened a brand new 1,000 sqft space, with two video podcast recording studios, and are looking for an individual who can come on board and manage the two spaces, as well as take on recording sessions. We currently have one full time engineer managing the majority of the recordings, but your role will fill the gaps.

Salary:

£30,000 to £34,000

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run studio sessions efficiently, including setup and operation of recording equipment.
  • Offer support to clients during sessions, from self-service setup to full sound/video engineering as required.
  • File management and upload of raw files after, and distribution to clients
  • Keeping equipment serviced and working well, as well as the upkeep of servers and software
  • Making sure the teapoint area is stocked and well maintained
  • Management of the studio assistant, and making sure they are completing their roles effectively
  • Organising shifts for the week, defining who is working what and making sure shifts are allocated fairly

Video Editing:

  • Edit podcast videos to enhance visual appeal and align with our client standards. Manage file uploads and downloads, ensuring efficient file management and organisation.
  • Liaison with clients and completed any requested amendments.
  • Creation of social media snippets and other assets.

(This will only be needed on occasion, and in down periods in the studios)

Client Communication:

  • Maintain clear communication with clients throughout studio sessions, noting any issues or specific requirements in a session log.

Flexibility and Adaptability:

  • Be flexible in working hours to accommodate sessions booked outside regular hours.
  • Demonstrate adaptability in handling various tasks, from studio management to video editing, based on business needs.
  • Most bookings are during working hours Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00, but the studio is open for booking 08:00 to 21:00 Monday through Friday, and Studio 1 is open 09:00 to 19:00 on weekends, so some flexibility to required to cover these sessions

Studio Management:

  • Open and close the studio at the beginning and end of each day.
  • Ensure the studio is tidy and well-maintained, providing a professional environment for our clients.
  • Resetting on furniture depending on client requirements.
  • Testing and maintenance of equipment.
  • Touring of potential new clients, giving information about Podshop and our additional services.
Benefits
  • A dynamic and collaborative work environment in the heart of Shoreditch.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth within the podcast industry.
  • Competitive salary package with benefits £26,000 to £28,000
  • 28 days holiday per year, including bank holidays.
  • The chance to be part of an innovative startup company at the forefront of podcast production, with a view to grow rapidly over the next few years
