The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the finance function. This is a hands-on position where you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting strategic decision-making.You will be responsible for leading a small team and providing mentorship and guidance to help them achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and develop the finance team to ensure optimal performance. Produce accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and budgets. Oversee cash flow management, financial forecasting, and performance analysis. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.Support strategic planning and decision-making processes. Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role. You must have demonstrable experience in leading and developing a team, as well as strong technical and analytical skills.You will be a confident communicator, able to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
Key Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar role within an SME environment. Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.Confident in driving financial strategy and contributing to business growth.
Salary:
£80,000 per annum plus bonuses and hybrid working
