The Systems Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the operation and availability of Lendscape’s infrastructure to an agreed and acceptable standard. They take responsibility for the day to day operation of the infrastructure systems, also participating in the execution of projects to install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve Lendscape’s services.Always looking for ways to improve within the department, including the ownership of projects that enhance the service provided.
The Infrastructure service consists of systems in the UK, USA and Australia.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in a broad range of Infrastructure based skills. The role offers the right candidate a great opportunity for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities- To provide 2nd and 3rd Line operational support to Production and Non-Production systems within the infrastructure and technical environments.
- To maintain the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure according to defined procedures.
- To monitor the infrastructure and technical environments according to defined procedures.
- To monitor the security of the infrastructure and technical environments according to defined procedures.
- To monitor capacity, and to plan for the growth and the efficient utilisation of the infrastructure and technical environments.
- To perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes.
- To maintain up-to-date, accurate records and documentation as required by defined processes and procedures.
- Provide proactive feedback and suggestions for the improvement of Lendscape services.
- Taking ownership of projects and working collaboratively with other members of the IT team to complete projects within expected timeframes.
- Always seeking to grow and improve on current services, reviewing processes and embracing new technologies.
Requirements
Required- 5 years experience of the following:
- Managing and working on tickets within the ITIL framework
- Microsoft Windows Server 2016+
- Server hardware maintenance and diagnostics
- VMWare and Virtualisation
- Anti-Virus/Security Products (Windows defender, Microsoft Sentinel)
- Advanced Network skills, (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Backup Technologies (Veeam Preferrable)
- Linux OS set up and administration
- Administering Microsoft Intune including EPM
- Management of services within AWS
- General Scripting / Devops experience, Visual Studio, AWS etc.
- Storage Technologies, iSCSI, SAN
- Experience in Firewall technologies, FortiGate Firewalls
- Advanced understanding of Firewall technologies
- Monitoring Tools such as Solarwinds
- Microsoft SQL Server Administration
- Postgres Administration
- Exposure to Qualys
- Experience working within a data center environment
- Strong communication skills
- Be willing to work on projects individually and collaboratively
- Share their expertise and provide individual training and support
- Be willing to learn and embrace new technologies
- Support and assist the team in areas that may not be defined in the standard job description
- Demonstrate a strong customer service orientation
- Be capable of collaborating and communicating effectively with all stakeholders, regardless of their role within Lendscape.

Some out of hours work may be required on occasion. This may include changes that can only be made outside of working hours such as evenings and weekends. Also providing support in the event of a critical incident.
The role is primarily based in the Wimbledon office with the opportunity to work from home on occasion. Lendscape also operate a flexible working policy.
