Special Needs Teacher
The successful candidate will help to deliver a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum and help to develop a therapeutic, nurturing environment set up to meet a range of needs associated with a diagnosis of autism including communication and severe learning difficulties.

About the role
Working as a teacher at Jasmine Grove School you will enhance the learning environment for our pupils, leading lessons and promoting personal development and well-being for all. You will help setup the classrooms, develop our curriculum, plan and lead lessons, keep accurate records to track pupil progress and contribute to the wider school.It is essential you are aware of pupil progress and able to flag potential concerns. Safeguarding the welfare of the young people in our care will be your primary responsibility. Experience of teaching core subjects (Maths/Science) within a SEN setting and/or working with pupils who present as reluctant learners would be an advantage.
This role would also be suitable for someone who has a background in Primary Education.

You will be working with young people who have complex needs and your ability to develop trusting relationships with the young people and staff will be crucial.You will be able to reliably work to instruction as well as take the initiative when circumstances demand. An interest in developing your teaching approaches and a desire to improve these students’ lives is essential combined with an ability to contribute to the overall development of our new school.
