Childcare Practitioner - Breakfast Cafe
Fife Council Kirkcaldy
Hunger and poverty are having a detrimental effect on children’s ability to concentrate and engage in their school learning. Hunger often leads to lethargy and sometimes even disruptive behaviour, which ultimately leads to children not engaging in the classroom.
A childcare practitioner working in a Breakfast Café will provide a safe, secure environment before school where all children attending are provided with a healthy breakfast (ranging from cereal, toast, fruit and yoghurts).
Breakfast Cafes are a drop in services and are not a registered childcare provision.
Operational hours 7.45am-9am included with the children attending from 8am.
In return you will benefit from:
- An hourly rate of £13.26 per hour
- Access to a wide range of professional learning and training opportunities
We are looking for someone who:
- Has understanding and experience working in a catering environment role
- Understands dietary and nutritional needs
- Organisational Skills
- Willing to work as part of a team
- Fun, Engaging and adaptable
