OPEN-IBD Gastroenterology Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh and the Western General Hospital.

Fixed Term Contract - 3 Years.

Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week.

The Opportunity:

We are looking to appoint a clinical research fellow in Inflammatory Bowel Disease with a view to completing a 3-year PhD in the Centre for Genomic and Experimental Medicine, at The University of Edinburgh. This post is fully funded for 3 years through the OPEN-IBD project that brings together 7 sites in the UK with the Welcome Sanger Institute in a collaboration to recruit 2,000 patients with suspected IBD and collect biologic samples at the time of diagnosis to create a unique inception cohort and biorepository for further research.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

The salary for this post is £48,287 to £68,710 per annum.

Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree
Completion of Foundation Training
Have GI/IBD clinical experience
Experience and/or interest in translational and clinical research

Experience in coding/computer programming/statistical analysis
