This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PE Teacher and aspiring leader to play a key role in the delivery of an outstanding sports provision at Sutton High School.

Working with the Director of Sport, you will be responsible for the development of our core sports, generating new ideas to create a wider offer and introducing new sports across the Prep and Senior School. You will also develop opportunities for partnership work within the local community and take responsibility for leading on a range of fixtures, visits, tours, clubs and workshops to build interest and passion.

The role will also include teaching a timetable of 25 out of 40 lessons per week across the age range and we hope to find a candidate who can teach academic PE, alongside practical sport, up to A Level, so you will need teaching experience at secondary level.

You may have gained experience as a teacher or as Head of a Sport, and we welcome applications from anyone who feels they would thrive in this demanding and exciting role. Experience of leading co-curricular clubs and the ability to coach football or hockey is essential.

You must also have the people skills to work alongside a team of coaches and teachers and to manage a comprehensive schedule of fixtures, clubs and activities.

At our school, girls want to learn, and care about each other’s success. Relationships with teachers are exceptional, and you can focus on teaching your subject and developing future leaders in an environment where everyone, both staff and students, is known and valued.

If you have the skills and experience to inspire a lifelong love for health and fitness, encourage participation through inclusivity, and challenge our elite sportswomen, we would be delighted to hear from you.
