Risk and control officer
A key aspect of the role is maintaining balance sheet integrity and reporting.Key Responsibilities:Conduct risk assessments and drive actions to address root causes of operational risk losses.Provide governance and oversight, including processing risk, operational readiness, and technology risk.Evaluate and ensure the control environment is robust and effective.Oversee project completion, special assignments, and ad hoc activities.Ensure compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures.Operate with minimal supervision, advising on standards and procedures.Skills/ Qualifications:5+ years of experience in navigating and networking across an enterprise.Strong business knowledge, particularly in core loan operations and operational risks.Proven ability to identify operational risks and gaps.Excellent multitasking and project management skills.Superior verbal and written communication skills.Preferred experience in business writing and system-to-system migration.Accounting experience is a plus.This role will be hybrid with 3 days working from the office in Belfast.
