Job Title: Resource Coordinator

The Resource Coordinator will play a critical role, working closely with the PMO team to oversee resource allocation and optimise resource utilisation across projects and departments. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient delivery of projects and achieving organisational goals.

The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset, organisational skills and excellent communication abilities.

The key focus areas include:

  • Collaborate with engagement managers, departmental leaders, and stakeholders within our global Consulting team to grasp resource requirements and project timelines.
  • Create efficient resource allocation plans by analysing project demands, resource availability, and potential constraints.
  • Partner closely with the Director of People Performance to align resource allocation and acquisition with project needs and organisational objectives, aiding in the crafting and execution of resource planning strategies and forecasts.
  • Enhance resource utilisation by equipping the Director of People Performance with essential information to navigate resource-related conflicts, engage in resource-sharing negotiations, and balance competing priorities.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of resource records and documentation, such as resource schedules, utilisation reports, and allocation decisions.
  • Track resource utilisation trends and make proactive adjustments and recommendations to guarantee optimal resource allocation.
  • Spot areas for improvement by regularly assessing resource performance, productivity, and capacity.
  • Collaborate with the Director of People Performance to work alongside our People and recruitment teams, providing guidance and support to project teams regarding staffing, skill needs, and resource acquisition.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and cutting-edge technologies in resource management, applying relevant insights to enhance organizational processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, project management or a related field.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A detail-oriented mindset to maintain accurate resource records and documentation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Previous experience using project management software or resourcing systems would be desirable but not essential.
  • A strategic perspective, with the ability to think proactively.
