The Estates, Facilities & PFI Division of the University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust are looking to appoint dynamic, enthusiastic, Facilities Supervisors, to support the Soft FM Domestic services. The Candidates will predominantly be based at our County Hospital Site.However on occasions there maybe an element of across Site working also at our the Royal Stoke Sit. In the event of this, free shuttle bus transport is provided from each Site.
The individual will be adaptable, self-motivated, able to prioritise their own workload and use their own initiative to achieve set objectives and all duties and tasks required by the Trust, to support the delivery of the Housekeeping Services.Along with supporting the continuation of unity between County and Stoke Site practices through the meeting of key performance targets relating to the National Cleaning Standards guidelines around Infection Prevention, maintenance standards, PLACE and the reduction of hospital acquired infections.
Main duties of the job
As part of the FM Services Team, the FM Services Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily delivery of an efficient and effective customer focussed quality service, appropriately and on time. The scope of the service being, but not limited to Cleaning and Residencies.Liaise with, and maintain business relationships with representatives of management within the Trust and other agencies as requested.
With a team of over 100 staff members, comprising of Supervisors and Facilities Service Support Assistants, candidates will require well practiced leadership skills of a high standard along with confidence to challenge practice in order to continue to the department’s success.
This role is both challenging and rewarding and will require an individual who is organized, consistent, has good leadership skills and a knowledge of cleaning processes, COSHH and Health & Safety.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Basic numeracy and literacy.
- Ability to complete paperwork relevant to duties.
- NVQ Assessors Award in Supervisory or similar
Essential and desirable
Essential criteria- To have worked in a service/customer environment.
- Ability to follow instruction and provide information, training, process and procedures to other Facilities staff
- Previous working experience within an NHS environment within Domestic Services/Housekeeping.
- To have an understanding of H&S, COSHH and Risk Assessments
