We are looking to appoint a Deputy Head to join our expanding Nursery team.

If you are an experienced Deputy Head and looking for a new challenge, or a Room Lead looking for that next step we would love to hear from you.

Our newly refurbished building is situated close to the Train Station, offering on-site bike and car parking. Sancton Wood Nursery is a family friendly environment with pupils aged 12 months to 4 years. Recognised for its outstanding contribution to the social and emotional development of each individual child.

Our big garden creates an inviting space for the children to develop their physical play with Forest School, a large climbing frame, water pump and sand pit.

This post is full-time with a 40-hour contract between the hours of 7.30am – 6.00pm (with an early start/finish or late start/finish rota) Monday to Friday. The Nursery is open 48 weeks a year with closures at Christmas, Easter and 2 weeks in August.

You will also be able to take an additional 5 days holiday plus any public holidays which do not fall during the Nursery closure periods.

Essential:

  • Minimum Level 3 or equivalent in EYFS (or above)
  • Previous experience in management/supervisory nursery role

Desirable:

  • Paediatric first aid qualified
