London Bridge Hotel is currently looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Night Receptionist with an opera or opera cloud knowledge to join our Front of House team. As a Night Receptionist you will ensure the effective running of day to day operations in Reception and ensuring standards are maintained at all times.

As a Night Receptionist at London Bridge Hotel, you will:

  • To welcome guests on their arrival using the guest name and assist with their registration ensuring all details of reservations are correct. Allocate room and direct guest to lift
  • To assist guests during their stay through effective use of social skills and to pass on any comments to the relevant personnel
  • To check guests in/out, charge payment accordingly and take full responsibility for individual float and to report any shortage immediately and pass on any complaints/comments to the Night Manager
  • Help night manager with night auditing and preparing reports for next day
  • To input/action any urgent reservations or enquires
  • To response to any email enquires in a timely manners
  • To be aware of importance of up selling in order to maximize rooms revenue
  • To cover the switchboard at all times and answer calls within 4 rings.
  • To ensure full handover is passed on to the next shift
  • Adhere to the company’s policy statement and all related instructions
  • To be fully aware of the departmental fire procedure
  • To comply with health and safety regulation
  • To carry out any reasonable requests made by any member of the management
  • To ensure standard of grooming is maintained
  • Transport guest’s luggage to and from their rooms carefully and promptly, and to store safely in the luggage room when requested
  • Issue correct receipts and maintain luggage record book
  • To assist guests with any taxi requests
  • To deliver mail, messages, faxes, packages to rooms
  • Accepting courier items on behalf of guests and recording items for guest signature
  • Ensure correct procedure regarding all matters of security are observed
  • To ensure all public areas and the front of house are kept to the highest standards of maintenance and cleanliness and are made as welcoming as possible
  • To develop a local knowledge and familiarise yourself with the surrounding areas to be competent enough to recommend shops, places of interest and to dine
  • Be familiar with hotels facilities: conference rooms, restaurant, bars, gym etc.
  • To carry out housekeeping duties if/when required
  • To provide light room service and serve beverages when requested
  • To order newspapers and deliver to rooms when required
  • To carry on floor walks/security checks
  • To collect breakfast cards from room doors

Personal Specification:

  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Previous experience in a customer-focused industry
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Competent level of IT proficiency
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £27,000.00 per year
