Working within the Private Client Team of x 4, your duties as Legal Secretary will include:

  • Providing cost effective support to fee earners and other support workers within team
  • Processing tasks in Digital Dictation (BigHand), typing documents, letters, emails and file notes for Fee Earners
  • Organising appointments, diary management
  • Taking new enquiries
  • Using a Case Management System
  • Preparing forms for Court
  • Handling telephone calls, enquiries and requests from clients and third parties
  • Dealing with incoming emails, scanning, post and replying to correspondence as appropriate
  • Assist with file opening and closing and ensuring files are fully time recorded for billing
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of documentation and information at all times

You will have:

  • Some experience of working within a legal environment
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • The ability to pick up new tasks quickly
  • Excellent organisational skills

In addition, you will be able to prioritise workloads and multi-task, work on your own initiative and be willing to take on new tasks. Word is also essential together with good numeracy skills and a discrete, professional and diplomatic manner.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00 with 1 hour lunch with the flexibility of working hybrid if desired.
