Storage Engineer/Junior Architect - SC Cleared
Location: Barrow-In-Furness | 2-3 Days On-SiteRate: £480-£580pd | Inside IR35
Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required
Contract: 8 Months
We're currently working with a technical client of ours to recruit for a Storage Engineer/Junior Architect with an aptitude for infrastructure support to perform day to day Storage & Backup Administration. The role will also provide opportunities to assist with project and transition work as required.
Responsibilities:
- BAU support of the SAN environment
- BAU support of the Backup environment
- Performing daily checks
- Storage allocation/deallocation
- SAN switch zoning
- Firmware upgrades
- Managing Backups (end to end configuration, rerunning failed backups)
- Tape Management/Rotation
- Maintaining documentation
- Producing management reports
- Implementing changes according to client change management process
- Problem management/resolution using SNOW
- Disaster recovery testing
Essential Experience/Skills:
- Storage
- Backup
- SAN
- ServiceNow
