Job Title MEWP Machine Controller

Mid-Week - £ 22 p h (Umbrella)

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) Machine Controller to join our team in South Yorkshire This safety-critical role involves overseeing the safe operation of MEWPs on-site ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and coordinating activities to maintain a secure working environment
Key Responsibilities

Safety Oversight Monitor and control the operation of MEWPs to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all personnel on-site
Compliance Assurance Ensure all MEWP operations adhere to company policies industry standards and legal requirements
Site Coordination Collaborate with site supervisors and other stakeholders to plan and execute MEWP activities efficiently
Risk Assessment Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate potential hazards

Qualifications and Certifications

OTP Core Competency Demonstrated understanding of On-Track Plant operations and safety protocols
MEWP Attachment Certification Proven expertise in safely attaching and operating MEWPs in various environments
Controller of Site Safety (COSS) Certified COSS with a strong track record in managing site safety and coordinating workgroups

Skills and Experience

Experience Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role within the rail industry
Attention to Detail Keen eye for identifying potential hazards and implementing preventive measures
Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to instruct and guide teams effectively
Problem-Solving Strong analytical skills to assess situations and make informed
