Science Teacher – Permanent Role in Salford (M50)
A well-regarded secondary school in Salford is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, ensuring all learners are supported and stretched appropriately
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential
- Contribute to curriculum development and department initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement within the classroom, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practice and share best strategies for student success
- Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and extracurricular activities to support the wider school community
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- A strong academic background in Science, with the ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics confidently at secondary level
- Experience of delivering the Science curriculum at KS3 and KS4, with a track record of improving student progress
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice
