TP Tutors is an agency which works with Local Authorities to deliver high impact tuition to the children who need it the most. We work with children who are Looked After, have SEN or SEMH needs, have been excluded from their setting, are awaiting school placement or have English as a secondary language.We work with children of all ages and across all subject areas.
We are looking for high quality educators to partner with us and deliver high-quality, individualised learning to some of the country’s most vulnerable children.
Job Summary and Key Responsibilities
Once registered as a tutor with TP Tutors, you will receive referrals from us for pupils who require additional support in your subject areas. You will manage your own diary, taking on as many or as few pupils as you wish. You will contact the pupil’s carer yourself to organise the tuition for a time that suits you both.
Working with the pupil either in the home environment or a community setting, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons and will be responsible for monitoring and assessing each pupil, recording progress using our bespoke platform, LEAP. Through your hard work and dedication, you will see your pupils grow in confidence, re-engage in education and excel in their subjects.
Requirements- QTS, PGCE or significant experience in tutoring or working in a classroom setting.
- Experience working with children in foster care, or with SEN or SEMH.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Ability to adapt tutoring strategies to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Knowledge of the UK educational system and curriculum.
- Advanced DBS check and references
- Safeguarding and Prevent training (provided)
- We pay a generous hourly rate of £25-£30 depending on experience and the nature of each referral

Location
Tuition takes place in the pupil’s home or a local community setting. We receive tuition referrals across the whole region, so it’s at your discretion to decide how far you are willing to travel.
Work Hours & Contract
The hours are flexible – perfect for those with a busy schedule! You can plan which hours you want to work and take charge of your own diary! Full-time or part-time hours available.
