Old Hall School in Wellington, Shropshire are looking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic Class Teacher on a fixed term maternity cover contract until the end of the 24/25 academic year. This is a superb opportunity for an aspiring, imaginative, and inspirational teacher to join a creative and innovative environment.The successful candidate will be welcomed into a team that is looking to develop and foster pedagogical discussion and aims to provide an outstanding education to all pupils in our care. A passion for education and personal and professional development is required.

Old Hall is an exceptional school set in beautiful grounds with access to outstanding facilities including astro turfs, a swimming pool and acres of playing fields. We are the oldest Prep School in Shropshire housed in a purpose built school which is set within the grounds of Wrekin College with whom we are intrinsically linked as part of the Wrekin Old Hall Trust.Working at Old Hall is a fast-paced and rewarding experience, with small classes, well-resourced classrooms, exceptionally well-behaved pupils and a very supportive parent community. We seek a teacher who is a committed and motivated professional and who understand that their role extends far beyond the classroom and want to take part in our traditional Prep school approach.
This encompasses a broad and balanced curriculum led by class teachers, a varied sports programme, a world class co - curricular programme and Subject Specialist teaching in Spanish, ICT, Innovation, Science, Music and Art.
Requirements:
- A degree and qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
- Key stage 1 or 2 teaching experience, new teachers who are aspiring to be outstanding will be considered
- Ability to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record/ability to deliver results
- Experience of safeguarding and child protection procedures will also be desirable
- A commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of all students within their care
- Able and willing to make a broader contribution to school life
- Innovative, creative, enthusiastic and able to deliver results
