The role also entails leading on contract management with key suppliers, and managing members of the Buying Team. Ensure compliance with Standing Financial Instructions, Standing Orders and Procurement Policy, support a category sourcing workstream and ensure that it operates within public sector policy and the NHS legal framework to successfully achieve its objectives year on year.
This shall include the delivery of demonstrable and incremental cash releasing and efficiency savings, which form part of the cost improvement plans of the Trust and wider Integrated Care System.

To support the Head of Procurement with the management and development of the procurement team. Provide input to the development and reporting of an agreed work plan to include a resource plan and the realisation of annual savings and compliance with all relevant procurement legislation.Identifying areas for future opportunities and bringing added value to the benefit of the department and the Trust.
