Are you a passionate, qualified teacher with a heart for making a real difference? Join us as a QTS Outreach Tutor and provide life-changing support to children who need it most in Barnet.
As a QTS Outreach Tutor, you will work on a one-to-one basis with students who require additional support to achieve their full potential. These sessions will take place in the student's home or a mutually agreed location, delivering bespoke lessons tailored to their needs.This temporary role is highly flexible, with hours ranging from 1 to 30 per week, allowing you to select morning, noon, or evening sessions that fit your schedule.
Your responsibilities will include:- Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons in core subjects.
- Supporting students with diverse needs, including those with SEN.
- Monitoring progress and providing detailed feedback to parents, carers, or schools.
- Creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
The duration of each assignment will vary based on the student's needs.
Required Qualifications and Qualities:- QTS or PGCE in a core subject (e.g. , English, Maths, Science).
- A minimum of 1 year of UK teaching experience.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A current enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- The ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual needs.
