Job Duties:
- Provide tailored educational support to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual learning styles and needs of students
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure academic growth
- Collaborate with other educational professionals and parents to create a supportive learning environment
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support students in managing their emotions and behaviours effectively
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 3 curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEMH students
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEMH needs and how they impact learning
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Proficiency in creating and implementing individualised education plans
- Strong classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Training in behaviour management techniques
Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a 1:1 setting in the pupils home, following the academic calendar. Some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate student needs.
