The Role
The Finance team at Javelin oversees Working Capital Agreements, Client Funding, Liquidity Monitoring, Trade Finance Facilities and PnL Monitoring. As the business continues to expand and grow, we are looking for a Finance Analyst to join the team, working alongside the Operations/Logistics team, Settlements team and Traders.The Finance Team ensures that we are reporting accurately, and the full lifecycle of a trade is supported effectively. We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive candidate with an interest in commodities markets with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to help drive the team forward and ensure accurate reporting.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Updating and monitoring complex working capital arrangements to help make management decisions
- Inventory valuation
- Managing weekly payments to clients
- Assisting on client queries and maintain a strong relationship with them
- Liaising with the Trading/Operations/Settlements teams to resolve queries and discrepancies
- Monitoring of trading P&L and tracking of new deals
- Review margin calls and provide support for intraday calculations
- Economics/Business degree preferable (minimum 2:1)
- Strong Excel skills
- Highly organised and the ability to work as a team player

- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
