We are seeking a dedicated Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to assess and implement housing solutions that optimize the independence and quality of life for individuals with diverse needs.
Your primary focus will be to provide specialized assessments and interventions that address the unique housing requirements of our clients, ensuring they can thrive in their living environments. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, architects, and care providers, to develop tailored housing adaptations and support plans.
This position will involve direct engagement with clients, where you will gather insights into their daily challenges and aspirations related to their living situations. Furthermore, you will be responsible for educating families and clients about available resources and options, empowering them to make informed decisions about their housing.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' housing needs and challenges.
Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to address individual housing issues.
Collaborate with other professionals to create holistic housing support strategies.
Provide expert advice on housing adaptations and modifications for clients with disabilities.
Educate clients and families about resources and housing options available to them.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of housing interventions and adapt as necessary.

Advocate for clients in accessing appropriate housing services and support.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Proven experience in housing-related assessments and interventions.
Strong understanding of accessibility standards and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Demonstrated commitment to client-centered care and rehabilitation principles.

Hours Per Week: 37.00

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £30.00

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
