Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Recognised SLT Degree/diploma
- RCSLT and HCPC Registered or pending registration for final year SLT students.
- NQP competencies completed
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience of working as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team
- Experience of adults with special needs i.e. Learning Disabilities or Deaf patients
- Experience in delivery of structured groups
- Experience of working with patients with mental health problems
Further Training
Desirable criteria- Portfolio of relevant post qualification CPD
- Post basic dysphagia training or completed competencies
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Theoretical knowledge of SLT delivery including the use of different approaches and multi-disciplinary working, across different contexts and environments.
- Knowledge of national policies and procedures (relevant to the client group)
- Undergraduate Knowledge of different approaches to working with adults with speech, language, communication needs and eating, drinking, and swallowing needs.
- Signs and symbols knowledge
Contractual
Essential criteria- Ability to travel between sites.
