Legal Cashier
Location: LondonSalary: £20,000-£30,000
Job Type: Full-Time, on-site
We are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join our team. As a Legal Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the firm's financial operations, ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and providing vital support to the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:- Processing client and office account transactions, including payments, receipts, and transfers
- Daily bank reconciliations for client and office accounts
- Monitoring client account balances and ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
- Processing legal aid payments and other disbursements
- Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
- Liaising with fee earners and external parties regarding account queries
- Assisting with VAT returns and other financial reporting as required
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier, ideally within a law firm
- Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in legal accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
