Job Title: Site Manager
Salary: Grade E Pt 11 (£25,979 to Pt 17 £28,770 fte) pro rata
Working Pattern: Monday Friday all year round (holiday entitlement to be taken during school holidays)
Working Hours: 25.75 hours per week (some flexibility for the right candidate)
- 00pm 6.00pm Monday Friday with the remaining hours to be arranged
Start Date: As soon as possible

The Governors of Brandwood Community School are seeking to appoint a reliable site manager with relevant experience, good interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic who can work on their own initiative, demonstrate high levels of professionalism and has excellent problem-solving skills, to ensure that school facilities are kept in an excellent and safe condition and maintained to the highest possible standards for use by pupils, staff and visitors.Applicants should be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skills relating to buildings maintenance and health and safety requirements in public buildings. Please refer to the job description and person specification for a more detailed outline of duties.
We are looking for a candidate who will:
- Be responsible for the general maintenance, cleanliness and security of the school and to maintain the premises caretaking experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- To conduct inspections of the premises, building, including heating, water, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order and compliant
- Be responsible for locking and unlocking the school and act as a key holder
- Undertake routine maintenance and basic repairs during the school day and organise and monitor major works during school holidays
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be a flexible, self-motivated and independent worker, with a positive attitude
- Look after the safety and security of everyone at our school and comply with statutory legal requirements
- DIY skills essential as are good communication skills, computing skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Have the ability to develop positive, professional and supportive relationships with staff and children which will help make this challenging post rewarding and enjoyable.
