Are you a Psychology Graduate seeking a role where you can apply your knowledge and make a real difference? Do you have a passion for education and supporting students with special educational needs?

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology graduates to join various SEN schools across East London as Teaching Assistants. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an outstanding school environment, graded as such in their most recent Ofsted inspection.

The school is committed to delivering an exceptional education for all its students and continuously strives to improve teaching standards and pupil outcomes.

About the Role:
  • Assist the class teacher with preparing lessons and setting up the classroom.
  • Provide tailored support to children who require additional help with their learning and development.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, offering feedback to teachers and contributing to individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters student success both academically and personally.

Person Specification:

This role is ideal for a Psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience in an educational setting. While additional qualifications are preferred, they are not essential, and you will be supported in developing your skills within the school environment.

Essential Requirements:
  • Degree: A Psychology degree (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Experience supporting students with SEN, either in a school or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge: A strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective strategies to support them.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion: A genuine desire to help students with special educational needs thrive.
Why Join Us?
  • Work in outstanding SEN schools with a supportive team.
  • Gain valuable experience in education, with opportunities for career progression.
  • Competitive pay rates, including statutory holiday pay.
  • Access to FREE child protection and Prevent Duty training.
  • Support throughout the recruitment process and beyond, with the option for some roles to become permanent.

Safeguarding:

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants will undergo rigorous safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check and professional reference checks. In line with the DfE's statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', an online search may also be conducted as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

If you're a passionate Psychology graduate ready to take on this rewarding challenge, we'd love to hear from you! Please apply with your CV or contact us via the details provided.
