Page Personnel are currently working with a long standing client, who are searching for a Payroll Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis in Harrogate. My client is looking for a motivated, driven individual who has a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills and open to learning new systems and processes.They are open to seeing candidates without payroll experience, who have a strong interest in getting into payroll, and a strong ability to take on new information and processes. Our client is a leading provider in its industry. They are known for their commitment to training and development of their staff, and have a reputation for delivering high quality services to their national customer base
Job Description- Assist in the end to end payroll process for
- Ensure new starter and leaver information is uploaded and accurate
- Address payroll-related queries from staff
- Work closely with HR to ensure all payroll changes are reflected accurately
- Prepare payroll reports for management as required
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies
- Participate in audits related to payroll
- Support with other finance-related tasks as required
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Assistant should have:
- Previous experience in a similar payroll role is preferred but not essential
- Background in accounts or strong interest in getting into the payroll industry
- Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Excel
- A competitive salary ranging from £24,000 to £28,000 per year
- A fully office-based role with free street parking available
- Part time (30 hours) or Full time working opportunities
